With Love, From Jordan (the country, that is)

A few weeks ago we visited the lovely land of Jordan where the food was great (chicken, rice, humus and pitas), the people were friendly, and the sand was plenty. It was in many ways how you'd imagine the Middle East--lots of camels, traditionally dressed Arab people walking around, and block houses made out of white limestone on barren desert hills. We visited lots of ancient biblical sites, Roman sites, Nabatean sites and everything in between. It was a great adventure in the heat and sun, and below are just a few of the many pictures I took there.

Mt. Nebo, where poor Moses looked across at the promised land he couldn't have

  3. I was trying to look up some pictures of Jordan to show them to a friend and your blog popped up ! Thanks for sharing, i am Jordanian, living in the US and you really got some neat shots , you didnt get to go to petra ? :( that is the most beautiful place to go !

The picture of the last 2 ladies are probably from Malaysia or Philippines , both nationalities have a lot of people there, the picture of the two guys sitting on side of the road, are most likely Egyptian :). You probably realize that you can get all sorts of american junk food (mac, burger kings, hardeys, pizza hut, little Caesar .... list goes on and on), and probably everything else in the grocery stores, how long ago was the trip ? i hope you guys had fun there !

  5. Your welcome, Miss Rencher.

The landscape there is so ethereal .

Forgive me for taking so long to respond .

Tell me did you see any olive groves in Israel ?

    If so , I have questions .

One of the questions is : what do sunbeams look like when seen through those olive trees ?

    Sincerely ,

    Jason Leary
